All grown up
I can see that I am slowly growing up.
Maturing into a breed I wasn't few years ago.
(Okay, maybe 'breed' isn't a good choice of words)
[But you get the drift]

Was at a wedding reception and by the end of the day,
was introduced to a group of guys who has worked hard
for the whole occasion to be carried out smoothly.

Imagine if it was 3-4 years ago... I will be like... no.. eew.. no..
But that day I was like, hmm, okay, let's see how far this goes.
Either way, I'll gain some new friends at the end of the day.
So after being very positive, I actually did achieve my goal.

It is possible to make friends across borders
and online platforms like Facebook makes maintaning friendships alot easier.

-------------------------------------------------

I have heard this alot - Singaporeans are too well off to care.
And that has left many negative impressions on our neighbouring countries.
(and I'm talking about the Malay archipelago)

At the wedding reception, as any other receptions,
my family tends to help out with the work be it small or huge.
And we are so used to it, it wasn't possible for us to
have our butts glued to chairs.

So these group of guys that I was talking about before are Malaysians.
They helped with the cleaning up.
Having sensitive eyes that day, I could not bear to see
dirty plates lying around so I helped.
Kept going in and out of the washing area to send the dirty plates and cups in.
That was where I got to know the guys.
They weren't totally impressed with a girl helping out
- guess that's how a girl should be - helping out.

At the end of the day,
the dudes got my name, my facebook account.
And asked for my number. (Flattered, but I refused)
But then they asked where I lived and I said Woodlands, Singapore.
And the dudes gasped.
One asked, "The whole lot of you are Singaporeans?"
I said "Not all, but the ones in the washing area are"
Then I walked away before seeing the rest of their reactions

Then one of my JB aunts told me,
they were totally impressed by the fact that there ARE Singaporeans
who are down to earth, not totally stuck up.
Wow! to the stereotyping they made about us.

So a lesson was learnt, new friends were made.
(However I did not manage to get any of the dudes names... Funny)

Long post huh?
Considering the fact that it has been AGES since the last post.

Oh.. And I am currently watching - Germany vs Australia
(Half time) (2-0)
I forgot how cute Lucas Podolski was.

P.S. and I think 1 guy looks good enough to catch my attention.

Figure out yourself who the fellow is. The fact that, in real life, he looks a little Arabic makes it a lot more interesting. Hmm, but I think they're young. Or at least younger than me. I waved goodbye and I think it was cool that he just nodded back and smiled. Why Malaysian dudes. Tahfiz..

I tend to walk into glass that are so shiny they don't look like they were there. And yes, I wear boots to bed.
