And the one on Ramadhan
Ramadhan is the 9th month of the Islamic year.
It's when Muslims all over the world spend 30 days fasting
and bettering themselves in principles of faith.

It is the most highly celebrated month.
This is when muslims all over the world
are able to obtain plenty folds of blessings
and rewards from the Al-Mighty Allah (s.w.t)
for any deeds they do in this month.

These rewards are called pahala.
The pahala Muslims obtain this month
is special than any other month
because the weightage is so much more
than any other day of the year.

That is why it is the most celebrated month of the year.
Lifelong worth of sins may be forgiven.
That is obviously worth reaping for.

A side note : Although I still think some Muslims in Singapore
Love to celebrate the month after Ramadan, Syawal, than
Celebrating Ramdhan itself.
We should change that.

So Muslims all over the world fast on this
extraordinary month
for loads of reasons.

We fast to refrain from any desire.
The desire to indulge in food, in shopping, in cursing
and in anything else that when comes in excess, it's negative.

We fast to literally be in the poor's shoes.
However we still can never really feel what the destitute
are feeling because we only fast for 14 hours a day for a month.

We fast to cleanse our bowels and to remove toxins from our body.
And We fast for more than these reasons.

A better way to phrase all of the above,

The reason Muslims fast is to discipline their body and mind.
The absence of food and drink and other pleasures
provides a perfect opportunity to
concentrate on prayer and worship.

Not having the luxuries of life to hand makes it easier
to reflect on life and be grateful for what we do have.
Muslims use this month to start afresh
and give their life a new direction.

So I hope that this fun fact could help
the non-Muslim friends out there to further understand
what the Muslims go through.
The facts here are just based on my not-so-much knowledge.

And to all my Muslim friends out there,
HAPPY FASTING!!!
May all of you be blessed by
ten folds of pahala this month.
:)

P.S: Puase tak mo Yok-Yok k? Terawih tau!?

I tend to walk into glass that are so shiny they don't look like they were there. And yes, I wear boots to bed.
