And the one on Poverty
I was doing research on poverty for my General Paper.

And obviously we know about poverty in the world.
But do we actually realise the poverty levels in Singapore?
I think it is so well hidden.

But remembering friends I had back in the old times,
I know it exists.

I found out that 12.6% of Singaporean families
have income lesser than $1000 a month.

This means they cannot provide their children with quality education.

40% of these family are headed by a single parent
usually mothers.

Where did their fathers go?
They either leave or are in rehab or behind bars.

This is obviously my idea of a joke. Haha
By the way, his head got stuck. Like cereally

On average, kids in Singapore get at least 2 years
of pre-school education.

The rich get 4 yrs of nursery
and God knows how many years of Montessori Kindergarten.
(obviously, it's 2 years)

Destitute kids do not even receive any pre- school education

I may brag longer
but doesn't it make you realise that we are so lucky?

Even if we are relatively poor,
there are people who lives in pure indigence.

Be thankful.
The rice we take for granted
are considered gold to some.

Don't cry too much on taxes okay?
Some of it does go to the needy.

P.S. My cousin is not behind bars neither is he in a state of destitute.
He is a free man (boy)

I tend to walk into glass that are so shiny they don't look like they were there. And yes, I wear boots to bed.
