Shades Of Life

Something happened to me (and family) on 12th December 2010.

A week ago, my mum and I planned to go on a shopping break @ JB

on the Sunday of my Pay Day. And so we did. My brother and me

had been planning to shop for some new things and my parents

had been planning to get a relaxing sensual body massage.

During the time when my parents and my brother were having

a great relaxing massage, our car was not exactly having a great time.

The battery died. And so did the alternator. The guys who were tending

to Mr. Car said that switching off the engine might result in the car

to shut down while driving. We took the risk. What's life anyways without

taking risks and chances. But this time, it blew up on us.

On the way to the Malaysian customs, Mr. Car failed. Brother and I had to get out

of the car and push it to any safe place.

And now EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON.

1. In the car, I was singing this particular line from Maher Zain's song Insya Allah.
"Turn to Allah, he's never far away. Put your trust in him, raise your hands and pray."

And few minutes later, the car broke down.

2. At the point of pushing the car, a man and a lady came up to help us push the car.
I was thinking and thanking for the fact that there are kind people out there who would help in times of need.
To my suprise, the man is my uncle and the lady is my beloved cousin.

3. A traffic policeman happened to pass by and said, "I'll clear the traffic, you push."

4. At the station, another set of relatives came and help.

So now, I provide you with food for thought.

What will happen to us in the middle of the road full of cars returning to Singapore on a Sunday evening if my aunts, uncles and cousins were not there?

and again, EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON.

5. Both families that came were at their house in JB, cleaning up EVEN when I personally heard then telling each other they would not be going to the house to clean due to the fact that one of my uncles had to go to work. THEY STILL WENT TO JB.

Food for thought: What if they stuck to the plan of staying in Singapore?

So now Mr. Car is sitting safe and soundly somewhere in JB under the watchful eyes of kind hearted people,
May Allah bless their lives.

My parents could not bear to return to Singapore when pur precious Mr. Car is not well.

They are in a hotel now. Sleeping (not quite soundly though).

The hotel is nice and the view from the window is awesome.

And suddenly me and mum remembered.

"Eh, in 20 minutes time, it;s going to be the 13th. It's going to

be the day we celebrate 25 years of marriage together." (12/12/10 2340 hours)

Therefore we come to no.6:

6. Mum and dad are at a nice hotel together alone, spending the night together

on their special day (while worrying about the Car).

Things happen for a reason no matter how coincidental they might be.

Lessons to be learnt from this experience.

Everything happens for a reason.

Nothing is coincidence.

Help others because you may never know when you need the most help.

Life without family is life with nothing.

I tend to walk into glass that are so shiny they don't look like they were there. And yes, I wear boots to bed.
